In 1954, when Larry and Gerry Griffin opened their doors in Detroit, they understood the meaning of commitment. They worked together for over forty-five years to provide quality service to families.
Today, Larry and David remain faithful to the same goals of providing personalized service to meet individual needs.
Larry, a second generation Funeral Director, grew up in the funeral home in
Detroit and was involved in the operations of the funeral service at a young
age. He learned the value of hard work and ethics from his parents, in
every aspect of funeral service. He graduated from Bishop Borgess High
School in 1974, and the Wayne State University of Mortuary Science in 1977.
He is a member of the Michigan Funeral Directors Association, a Licensed
Florida Funeral Director since 1984, Livonia Elks and Knights of
Columbus. Larry is the father of four children.
Honoring the commitment to service established by his parents, in 1982 David
received his degree in Mortuary Science.
Now married with two children, David understands the importance of
supporting the community in which he lives and does business.
Along with being a member of many fraternal and church organizations, he is Past President of the Michigan Funeral Directors Association District
1, Past President of the Canton Chamber of Commerce and currently holds a
position on the Board of Directors for the Canton Community Foundation and
the Canton Downtown Development Association.
Dedicated to his family, business and community, David continues to honor the family tradition of service.
